HELLO THERE!

Practical nutrition and diabetes support without the judgement

Hi, I’m Dale Cooke, an Accredited Practising Dietitian Nutritionist, Credentialled Diabetes Educator and Personal Trainer based in Brisbane.

Through Nutrition Intuition, I provide practical, evidence-based nutrition and diabetes support by telehealth Australia-wide, with home visits available in selected areas of Brisbane’s inner north.

I help people make sense of food, health and diabetes management, without guilt, judgement or impossible meal plans.

Because let’s be honest: eating well is much easier when the advice actually fits your real life.

How Nutrition Intuition can help

You might be here because you’re confused about what to eat, trying to manage diabetes or pre-diabetes, worried about your heart health, feeling stuck with your weight, or simply wanting to feel better in your body.

You don’t need another strict diet, lecture or list of foods you’re “not allowed” to eat.

You need clear, realistic advice that helps you understand your body, your health and your everyday choices.

At Nutrition Intuition, I can help with:
– nutrition and dietitian advice
– diabetes education and support
– type 2 diabetes and pre-diabetes
– heart health, cholesterol and blood pressure
– weight loss or gain and sustainable lifestyle change
– healthy eating, meal planning for vegan, vegetarian or omnivorous eating.

More than just “what should I eat?”

Nutrition advice is rarely just about food. Sometimes it’s about knowing what to eat when you’re exhausted. Sometimes it’s about understanding blood glucose levels. Sometimes it’s about learning how to read food labels, cook simple meals, manage a chronic condition, or stop feeling like you’ve “fallen off the wagon” every second Tuesday.

I can help with things like:
– label reading
– pantry reviews
– vegetarian and plant-based eating
– simple, healthy cooking ideas
– diabetes and heart health
– meal planning that is realistic, not ridiculous
– finding your way back when motivation disappears.

I’m also an intuitive cook, so I love helping people make healthy food taste good without needing fancy ingredients, 47 steps, or a chef’s hat.

Diabetes education with real-life understanding

As a Credentialled Diabetes Educator, I’ve worked extensively with people living with type 1 and type 2 diabetes.

I also understand diabetes from a personal angle, as my husband lives with type 1 diabetes. That lived experience has given me even more respect for the everyday decisions, frustrations and mental load that can come with diabetes management.

Whether you need help understanding blood glucose levels, food choices, medications, hypos, technology, exercise or the “why did that happen?” moments, I can help you make sense of it in plain English.
